The service was very good but the food took 45mins to get our food. The food was very good. I had seafood platter. Top choice.

I got the buffalo chicken sandwich and that has to be the best buffalo chicken sandwich I've ever had. It was absolutely delicious. The boom boom shrimp was good. Everything we ate was delicious. The server pleasant and efficient. Wonderful experience.

Post Milton lunch at RJ Gators. Sumter Lake was still overflowing when we were there, so the boardwalk was underwater. But the restaurant is still open. We arrived just as they were opening, and since it was such a lovely day, we dined outside. My wife kept it simple, ordering the chicken quesadilla, and I went for the chicken and shrimp skewers. Being the first one there, it seemed quite a while until our food arrived, but it made a showing. It looked and tasted great. The service was very good and the prices were reasonable. I recommend sitting outside if the weather is cooperating. It adds to the adventure. Enjoy!

RJ Gator’s Florida Sea Grill & Bar – A Unique Florida Experience While vacationing in The Villages, FL, we were on the hunt for a local spot with some character and stumbled upon RJ Gator’s Florida Sea Grill & Bar—and wow, what a find! The atmosphere immediately caught our attention. The decor was truly unique, with a fun and creative vibe that screamed “Florida charm.” We started with an appetizer of Florida Alligator Tail—a first for us. It arrived piping hot, and the aroma was fantastic. The deep-fried exterior was perfectly crunchy, while the inside was slightly chewy, reminding us of calamari. It was delicious, and we’d absolutely order it again! For our main course, we chose the Seafood Platter, which came with fried haddock fingers, fried pollock, and a grilled shrimp skewer, accompanied by fries, coleslaw, and tartar sauce. The presentation was on point, and every bite was just as satisfying as it looked. I also couldn’t resist trying one of their signature drinks, the Gator Island (see attached image). It was a fun and tropical cocktail that paired perfectly with the meal. Overall, RJ Gator’s delivered on food, atmosphere, and experience. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking for something a little different and full of local flavor. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Beautiful atmosphere. wonderful food and dessert. got the gator tail and key lime pie. The key lime pie was really good probably the best I've ever had great servers definitely five stars.

First time at gators, we got a bowl of the sheet crab soup...! Are you freaking kidding me honestly the best crab soup we've ever had. We decided then to get the nachos and split them. Good choice there's no way one person can eat all those. We threw in a fruity drink and a beer for the old dude. Very reasonably priced and we walked away stuffed. By the way, the atmosphere wasn't bad either ha ha ha.. next time we're gonna try some of their other items, looking forward to returning.

Wow, service was awesome. Food was equally as awesome. The fried mushroom appetizer is what we started with. Great breading, great taste. I got the gator bucket, with boom boom sauce and the gators were great! Boom boom sauce was a little spicy but was told previously about it and it was great to dip the gators into. My wife got the shepherds pie and i got to try a few bites of that and wow, another great item. Our son got the kids sliders and well, from how fast he ate them, i would feel comfortable saying they were great. 10/10 would recommend and 100% will be coming back.

Great atmosphere very busy. However the food was amazing I had lobster Mac n cheese. Good but super small portions. All was ok overall accept didn't get one refill and server seemed distracted and or didn't care Out of 10..... 4. But hey nice bar lmao
